We have achieved tremendous growth over the last four years and we are seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our Warehouse team. The Warehouse Manager is a key member of the Management team and will act as our primary contact to support our growing team with Warehouse related issues and tasks.
The Warehouse Manager plays an essential role in the management, maintenance and overall operations of the warehouse to best service our customers. The successful incumbent is one who has several years of experience and is a competent leader to manage, motivate and develop a team effectively in a fast paced and changing environment. Applicant must be accustomed to working in a fast-paced and fluid environment.
  • Provides overall direction, support, coaching and leadership to the warehouse team to achieve prescribed objectives and align department and individual efforts to the vision, mission, strategy and culture of PSI.
  • Oversees and manages a number of departments including but not limited to Receiving, Shipping, Inventory, Down Stock.
  • Manages the warehouse operations; including the safety, quality, continuous improvement, resource planning, budgeting, inventory control, within those functional areas.
  • Manage staff performance through formal performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, and discipline when required though on-going feedback. Establish shared and individual targets and set individual development goals.
  • Establishes and maintains high quality service standards to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all customer orders are completed, shipped in full and delivered in line with specified timelines, standards and KPIs.
  • Ensure quality service to consumers by exceeding customer shipping requirements within the established time frame, and by communicating to internal contacts any issues that may impact customers.
  • Leads and promotes a culture where Health & Safety is the top priority. Provides leadership and support for Health & Safety initiatives at the facility by maintaining a clean, organized and safe environment throughout the Warehouse. Participate in planning personal safety and plant protection activities.
  • Find cross function improvement opportunities by improving service, customer operational issues, rolling out implementation of Warehouse Management System: (such as barcode scanners, pick to voice, put to light, packing, receiving issues).
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement such as and manage to/achieve metrics. Experience with the development and execution of TPM, LEAN, and Six Sigma principals required.
  • Other work assigned by manager.
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of Supervisor or Manager in a warehouse, logistics or supply chain. Solid technical skills including a familiarity with logistics and inventory warehouse software and the ability to learn new systems quickly. Exposure to a WIP (work-in-progress) product manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Proven ability to direct a team working in a fast-paced warehouse environment to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a team culture of excellence.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to quickly understand and identify issues and implement solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including leadership, conflict resolution and team building abilities. A proven coach and motivator with the ability to gain the trust of a team and guide their work.
  • Collaborate cross functionally and possess the commitment to delivering quality results and overcoming obstacles in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Ability to drive positive change in both processes and systems and culture.
  • Working knowledge of WMS technologies and Warehouse Distribution environment;
  • Able to find efficient solutions to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment with many competing priorities.
  • High attention to detail and accountability in analytical assessments, but with the aptitude to maintain a big picture perspective.
